1971 – The Siliguri Conference (Hardcover)
The Siliguri Conference held on 5 and 6 July 1971, is an entirely undiscussed chapter of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. This conference eliminated much of the confusion and aided in the formulation of the policies used during the war. This, in turn, generated cohesion, expedited the war, and led to a swifter victory.
Detailed descriptions and official proceedings of the conference have not been conserved anywhere. This book, for the first time, contains along with a detailed introduction a crucial part of the formal meetings proceedings and informal discussions which took place during the conference.
